RRB ALP” refers to the Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot exam, Candidates who intend to take the RRB ALP test should be aware of the topics they need study for the exam by familiarizing themselves with the RRB ALP curriculum for each level. CBT I, CBT II, CBAT And Document verification are all part of the selection process.
As per the RRB ALP Exam Pattern, CBT 1 will consist of 75 questions, and CBT 2 will consist of 175 questions.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Syllabus for Part-B
(A) Part-B is only a qualifying test in nature and shall have questions from the various trade syllabus as prescribed by Directorate General of Training (DGT).
RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024
The exam pattern for every stage of the selection process must be understood by candidates attempting the RRB ALP Recruitment. Candidates will understand the pattern of questions, topic-wise weighting, and marking system by educating themself with the requirements of the RRB ALP examination. RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Exam Pattern CBT I
The RRB ALP CBT I exam will be an objective-type test, which will only be qualifying in nature. The detailed exam pattern for the same is given below.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern CBT II
Candidates who qualify the CBT I will be shortlisted for RRB ALP CBT II exam. The detailed exam pattern for the same is provided below:

- The Second Stage CBT will consist of two sections: Part A and Part B.
- Part B will be of qualifying nature only whereas the marks of Part A will decide the progress of the candidates to the next stages of the selection process.
- The minimum qualifying marks for part B are 35% for all candidates irrespective of the category.
- 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
- There will be sectional timing in the RRB ALP CBT II examination.
RRB ALP Exam Pattern CBAT
The Computer Based Aptitude Test will be conducted only for the post of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot. Candidates must keep in mind the following about RRB ALP CBAT:
- Minimum Qualifying Marks for this stage are 42 marks in each of the test batteries, irrespective of the category.
- Candidates equal to 8 times the number of ALP vacancies for each of the categories shall be shortlisted for this stage depending on their performance in CBT II.
- Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test battery of Computer Based AT.
- The medium of questions for the CBAT will be English and Hindi.
- There will be no negative marking.
- To prepare the merit list 70% weightage will be allotted to the marks obtained in Part A of the second stage of CBT and 30% weightage will be for the marks obtained in CBAT.
- The merit list for RRB ALP will be prepared only from amongst the candidates who qualify the CBAT stage.
